Gay-Art Oilpainting “Home sweet home”

At this moment I just have designed one sweater with this artwork. The reason why just one? I first want to ….finish the Oilpainting.

Gay-Art Oilpainting “Home sweet home” is one of my latest Oilpaintings/Artworks. I still don’t know if it is finished or not! Should I make the fields with more detailed grass, make the boy blond, instead of dark brown?

Always a struggle when a painting is finished…or not, although; I still like it as it is now !

Started this Oilpainting in Covid-time, after a photo I had already saved for years, like I save a lot of photos. If I am gone paint them all…You can fill a museum with it. I often paint after photos. The main reason is that male models are difficult to find, a problem for a lot of Gay-Artist! And with a life session it’s always the time what makess it difficult. For a model to sit still isn’t the problem, but for hours and hours! And when it’s not finished, I can work weeks on an Oilpainting, you have to ask them to come back…and do the same position…for hours and hours. And how would it be if you want to paint this Gay-Art Oilpainting “Home sweet home” For weeks outside, model with a naked butt and “keep looking thet way” for …days…weeks. No, sometimes a photo is a “bit” easier!

Still, although I work a lot from photos, I love working with real models. You can better see depth, shadows and structures of skin and fabrics.
