Oilpainting “I love David”

“I love David” is a tiny oilpainting, painted in 2019, even more a try out. Paul wanted to see how he could paint stone (The statue) but paul isn’t a “landscape” painter, so he added a bit of fun to the painting and  putted the young boy in front of David… “That’s funny!” Than the title “I love David” came by itself!
When we showed this on Facebook and Instagram, we got a warning! Sexual herassement! If it was just a photo only of the “big David” it wouldn’t have been a problem. That’s Art what has the stamp of “real Art”! But the tiny ass and dick of the boy wasn’t Art in their eyes. This is not only a problem for Gay-Artist Paul Harmsen, it’s for all people who paint nudes!
Yes, social media platforms dictate us what we can show and what not. Sometimes you feel like a criminal, especially when Youtube, the old channel of paul, suspended him. He felt if he really had done something wrong. But it wasn’t. Paul just tries to make nice, funny or interesting paintings and show them to the world. He creates what he likes! It has nothing to do with sexual herassement or intentions but it will take a long time that social Mediaplatforms  will understand him!
