From Drawings to Wearable Art for Men.
After more than four years working with prints of oilpaintings and Multy-Media, it’s time for a new collection! From Drawings to Wearable Art for Men.We are now starting the collection “Drawings” here on X-Artwear. A totally differant Artwearcollection with only pencil drawings from Paul Harmsen.
During a clean-up in their house in Tortosa, Paul suddenly found all sorts of old pencil and watercolour drawings, try-outs for original artworks that you can also see here on “Our gallery” on the website. “Can I do something with that?” he thought…and yes; of course he could do something with it. First he photographed the drawings and edited them in Photoshop. and then he wrestled with various items of clothing and made various collages. the result were several new catchy prints in black and white. a kind of minimal artwear, you can say.

took a few weeks before Paul had a good result that he was satisfied with. You can understand that with “all over” you still have to take sizes of the clothes into account and you don’t want an XS T-shirt to only show a part of the print! Or a 3XXL shirt not printed on the side… or worse! But, the drawings are often more than enough, so we came up with something else. For the first time, soon new items in the shop with only a print on the front and back, so not “All over” It is still Artwear but a bit differant than you now from us!
